When preparing food on READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards, they perform similarly to wood - but, more important, they are far more sanitary and easier to clean than any other cutting board on the market.

HOW CAN READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE BE CLEANED?

READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards can be immersed and scrubbed in hot, soapy water, soaked or washed in solutions that contain bleach. They can be steam cleaned or run through a commercial dishwasher. They won't be harmed by water.

WILL READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE LAST LONGER THAN WOOD OR WHITE PLASTIC CUTTING BOARDS?

Our experience has shown that READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards will last at least twice as long as wood or plastic boards.

WILL READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE DULL KNIVES?

No, they are not hard enough to harm or dull knives. Yet they're dense enough to resist slice marks that can harbor bacteria.

WILL READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE WITHSTAND HEAT?

Yes, READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards withstand heat up to 350 degrees. They can be used as a trivet for hot pans. However, do not leave in hot oven or use in a microwave. Our wood fiber laminate boards can be used where others melt.

ARE READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE IN ANY OTHER COLOR?

No, what you see is what you get. No dyes have been added to the pure wood fiber or plastic resin. When new, the surface is light brown. With age it will naturally darken to rich, mellow reddish brown.

WILL READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE CUTTING BOARDS WARP?

There is a chance that larger size boards may warp as a characteristic of the material. (One side being warmer and the other side being colder cause one side to expand and the other side to contract). This can usually be avoided by turning the board over on a regular schedule to keep both sides the same temperature. The thicker a board is the less chance that it will warp. Table top size boards and bakers table tops, of any thickness, must be fastened to the table base to avoid warping. Table tops must be supported front and back with a hat channel. The table top is drilled and tapped from the bottom and fastened to the table base with machine screws. Do not drill more than half way through table top. Minimum thickness for a table top is 3/4". Ask your representative or call 1-800-445-3416 for table mounting instructions.

CAN THE SURFACE, EDGES AND CORNERS OF READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE PRODUCTS BE RENEWED?

Yes, if necessary the surface can be smoothed by sanding or scraping with a bakery scraper and the edges and corners can be touched up with a file or sandpaper. Any edge or corner damage caused by dropping should be sanded or filed smooth so that the board remains easy to clean. Damage caused by dropping is not covered by warranty.

HOW DO READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE CUTTING BOARDS COMPARE TO WHITE PLASTIC?

Unlike READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards, white plastic boards are cut apart and destroyed by knives. These deep cut marks collect food particles and juices, which quickly turn black. Once the board surface becomes rough, it is almost impossible to clean. They will also not withstand hot pots and pans like READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards.

HOW DO READ WOODFIBER LAMINATE CUTTING BOARDS COMPARE TO WOOD?

Unlike READ Woodfiber Laminate Cutting Boards, wood cannot be successfully cleaned by immersing and scrubbing in hot, soapy water or running through a dishwasher. Wood boards will open up and are impossible to clean. Most health departments will not allow wood to be used in commercial kitchens.

WHAT ARE POLYLITE PRODUCTS MADE FROM?

READ Products' Polylite Cutting Boards are made from the highest quality High Density Polyethylene available. Polylite Cutting Boards are NSF listed and meet FDA and USDA requirements.

HOW CAN POLYLITE BE CLEANED?

After preparing any kind of food, particularly raw meats, poultry and fish, all cutting boards should be thoroughly scrubbed and scoured with a solution of detergent, chlorine bleach (a disinfectant) and hot water. For hard-to-remove stains, let the board soak longer in the detergent and bleach, or scrub with a scouring powder that contains bleach. After scrubbing, rinse cutting boards with plenty of clear water to remove the chlorine bleach.

WILL POLYLITE WITHSTAND HEAT?

READ Products does not recommend Polylite for high heat applications. Polyethylene is sensitive to heat. High temperatures will cause polyethylene cutting boards to bend, warp and/or melt. Hot pots or pans should not be set on the board.

WHAT IS NSF INTERNATIONAL?

NSF International is an independent company that has developed standards, product testing and certification services in the areas of public health safety and protection of the environment. Products showing the NSF mark comply with their safety standards. The mark is widely trusted among product users and regulators.

WHAT IS THE LEAD-TIME FOR CUSTOM CUTTING BOARDS?

Custom cutting boards usually ship within five to seven business days after the receipt of an order. A "RUSH" option is available for a 10% surcharge. Rush orders usually ship within one business day, depending on the order size and complexity.

CAN READ PRODUCTS SHIP PRODUCTS DIRECTLY TO MY CUSTOMER?

Yes. Any READ Products customer with an open account may have merchandise shipped directly to their customer at no extra charge. READ Products' customer will be billed for the merchandise and shipping charges. No prices will appear on any paperwork accompanying the products.

DELIVERY

Freight will be prepaid on all products with product numbers, except bakery table tops, on orders of $1,000 net or more within the continental USA, Alaska and Hawaii, using the carrier of our choice.

TERMS

All invoices are subject to a cash discount of 1% if paid within ten days from the date of invoice. Discounts will not be allowed beyond the discount date. No cash discount is allowed on sales tax or freight charges. All invoices are due within thirty days of shipment. There will be a finance charge of 1.5% per month, which is an annual percentage rate of 18%, on all invoices not paid within 30 days. Also, any invoice not paid within 30 days can result in a credit hold, which will stop shipments or scheduling of orders.

RETURN MERCHANDISE

No products or materials may be returned to the factory for credit without a return authorization number. We will not be responsible for unauthorized returns. Custom items are not returnable.

CHANGE OR CANCELLATIONS

All change orders or cancellations will be at the discretion of READ Products, Inc. Charges for changes will be in accordance with work already processed before change is requested.

LIMITED WARRANTY

READ Products, Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from date of shipment. This limited warranty does not cover any expense involved in removing, shipping and reinstalling any items or products.

Products with corner or edge damage caused by dropping or any impact are not covered by any warranty. Heavy chopping, with a cleaver or knife, will damage all products and is not covered by any warranty. Some warping will occur with any flat surface used in the food industry and is not covered by any warranty.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE

For products with a lifetime guarantee, the above limited warranty is extended for the life of that product.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

Offered on Arlite cutting boards and tools - if within 30 days of purchase the user does not agree that their Arlite cutting board or tool is the best they have ever used, the cutting board may be returned for a complete refund. Limited to one product return per customer.

WOODFIBER LAMINATE COLOR

READ Woodfiber Laminate products are made from natural wood fiber and undyed heat-set resins. The color cannot be changed and may vary from lot to lot. READ cutting boards will darken with age.
